The Idea
THE PAY IT FORWARD FOUNDATION was started with the objective of spreading Chesed throughout the world.
Imagine doing a Chesed for someone. The natural inclination is for the person to one day return the Chesed to the person who showed them the original kindness. The Pay it Forward concept allows this to happen, but in a way that will offer everyone an exponential return on that Chesed – one good deed at a time.
How it Works
Person A does 1 Chesed for Person B. In return, Person B now does a Chesed for Person C, Person D, and Person E, generating 3 acts of Chesed. In return for that Chesed, they each find a three new people to do a chesed for (generating 9 acts of Chesed), allowing everyone before them to share in that Zechut. What a wonderful way to repay a kindness, and what a wonderful way to spread Chesed throughout the world, as the acts of Chesed grow.
